My sister's dog Smokey turned 5 this past August. What's is usually a small family event turned into a crazy party with multiple guests. I went and rediscovered this link to The Miller's Crossing, a brilliant piece of satirical writing on Dennis Miller written back in 2003 and probably even more relevant now (I'd know more if I bothered watching Miller anymore).
