I can't find many depressing New Year's or New Year's Eve comics, but there are plenty of depressing Christmas and Christmas Eve comics. From Detective Comics #741. From Part Three of the "Endgame" storyline, "Sleep in Heavenly Peace," written by Greg Rucka and Devin Grayson with pencils by Damion Scott and Dale Eaglesham and inks by Sean Parsons, Sal Buscema and Rob Hunter.
