People I Want to See Tonight at Stone Soup

When Lee Varon is missing from Stone Soup's open mic like she was last week, it's very noticeable. She's provided a great deal of support for me during this last year of change at Stone Soup, and I am grateful both for that and the work she shares on the mic.

I hope she can make it back in this week. I feel it's going to be winter before we know it, and that's when she takes her usual leave of absence. At least we got so talk during the Stone Soup meeting last week.

Yes, we have meetings now. That's a thing you may or may not read more about here.

Bill Barnum

So far this year, Bill Barnum came to Stone Soup in late May with an impromptu micro-feature to help celebrate his ninetieth birthday ( I have to upload that video soon). He lives in New Hampshire now and doesn't drive, so it's not likely he'll be in tonight or anytime soon.

Still,this photo by Jason Wright of Bill coming to read in early July (a night I had to leave early, dammit) shows that you can never really be sure.
