Good Things Come With Links
It's nice to know so many things can be going right even though the country is doomed.
High Horse finally came out with the second issue. Read and/or download it here. As I said earlier, I'm in good, diverse company. Just as diverse as it was when Mike Bucell co-edited Meanie with Jim Behrle.
Shanna Compton emailed me to let me know that her Bowlmor Writemore anthology will be available both as a limited print and a PDF. I'll link that here when it comes down the pike.
Best of all, second to Christopher Rizzo's intent to broadside one of my poems soon, was Chris Volpe's promise to do the same down the road over at Penhallow Press (hence the new addition o the "work" links). We met awhile ago at a Cambridge coffee shop and got into a big conversation about Franz Wright (I was reading The Beforelife) and the local scene. Hopefully, he'll be motivated now to start a blog. Until then, check out his press' site and look for the press' first book to come out.
Looks like I'll be back in the pages of Whats Up (hence that new link earlier in the week), at the very least with a poem, at best with the "liberal/hollywood media" article I posted here a while ago, with another big one to follow. I'll put stuff here first once it's near completion. I've let a couple of people know about it, but only because it mattered that they knew first. If they tell people first great. I'll still have an article.
Finally, I'll be doing a Stone Soup reading in Cambridge on December 13, with hopefully an appearance on Cambridge/Lowell public access before or after that. This means I've been reading pretty consistently since April, with almost half of them having me as the sole feature. Not a bad way to end the year.
More to come, I hope.
