The Bowlmor Writemore anthology cover went up on Shanna Compton's site last week, along with a proposed get together in New York after the holidays. I'll try to go, but it's going to be tough enough to travel anywhere after the new year is chimed in.
Here are the Bowlmor contributors I'm amongst.
Amanda Burnham
Meghan Cleary
Shanna Compton
Paul Guest
Shafer Hall
Shannon Holman
Eric Kaufman
Jennifer L. Knox
Ada Limon
David Lukowski
Scott McDonald
Sean McNally
Katey Nicosia
Charles Orr
Shin Yu Pai
Susanne Reece
Will Roby
Jason Schneiderman
Maureen Thorson
It's a good thing I never had to reveal my last recorded bowling average. Otherwise, I might not have been allowed in.
It will be available as a limited edition chapbook and as a PDF file. In light of more and more people publishing in PDF formats, I'm going to offer a side bar link with those I'm involved with as well as others I want to recommend.

Hey Chad -
Unrelated - but I saw that it was Bill Hicks' birthday today, and I always think of ybou when I see his name because you have championed him in the circles we find ourselves in.
I was in Nashville, Tennesee last year. After the show I went to a Waffle House. I'm not proud of it, I was hungry. And I'm alone, I'm eating and I'm reading a book, right? Waitress walks over to me: smack smack smack smack
"Hey, whatchoo readin' for?"
Isn't that the weirdest fucking question you've ever heard? Not what am I readING, but what am I reading for? Well, godammit, ya stumped me! Why do I read? Well... hmmm... I dunno... I guess I read for a lot of reasons, and the main one is so I don't end up being a fucking waffle waitress.
hey, i was gonna post that bowling skill is not a requirement--just poetic skill.
but then, i saw y'all talking 'bout Bill Hicks. didja know we just did a new book o' his rants and writings?
here's a the url: http://www.softskull.com/detailedbook.php?isbn=1-932360-65-4
(hmm, that's actually the wrong cover photo though)
cheers!
Hey, Shanna. Yeah, I did know that. I was pondering ordering that this week and seeing if I could work it into a review of the new Bill Hicks DVD I started writing last month (I posted a rough draft here).
Maybe you can tell me if the book was primarily a Hicks family project or if Kevin Booth had anything to do with it. In an old interview, I believe Booth said the family had control of the written work while Kevin eithr controled or had a good hand in much of the stuff used on the albums and new DVD.
Given the Hicks family's hand in the last two posthumous albums (a decent live show with previous material and a very uneven compliation of various bites), I've been a little skeptical. That's what happens if you come from a family who doesn't "get" you.
Makes me dread what will happen with my stuff if I croak.
