Franz Wright Reads

I haven't yet gotten into the habit of posting notices for readings other than mine, but this is a good time to start it.

For those page and/or language poets reading this: do not let the "slam" word deter you from this venue. A lot of good page and stage poets migrate to this spot twice a month. It's one of the most diverse gatherings around. Sadly, I don't think I'll be able to make it, as I already promised Len I'd try to make Jack McCarthy's reading. But this is a reading that deserves to be heavily attended. I saw Wright read back when The Beforelife was still his most recent book, and I've been dying to hear him read again, whether it's Martha's Vineyard or anything else. If I don't see him this month, I'll see him the following weekend at the National Poetry Month Festival.
