NaPoWriMo, Day Eleven, Poem Ten

I am slowly catching up to the quota. Obviously, some of the reasons for my delays are self-imposed at this point. This poem was actually written over a couple of days. Wish I had the will to finish it sooner. Still, I have to thank the NaPoWriMo challenge for helping me to churn out these roommate inspired poems, which were painfully slow to produce for such a long time.

Below is a photo of the artwork that inspired the poem that follows. The painting was recently left for the garbagemen. It just carried too much of the spirit from the last couple of years worth of roomies for it to be in the same living space as me any longer.

Edited: The final version of this poem is in my new chapbook, Discarded: Poems for My Apartments.
