According to Site Meter, I've been getting some hits that register from the VA. At once a little fascinating and disturbing, since I work at the VA and have become more of a fixture there. More people have found out about my life outside the VA as a writer and poet. I almost feel that a disclaimer of sorts needs to be put in. And so, a few words:
If you work with me or have trained under me and were curious enough to search me out, please note and be warned that you will be seeing a very different side of me, displaying a less-than-sunny pointing of view and spouting opinions that are not universaly accepted no matter what anyone thinks of the media. It's not a side I let out in front of you while working and certainly not the patients.
I don't mention any of you here. At all. So don't bother if you've come looking for dirt. This is not one of those kind of journal/blog thingees where you get to read about me calling one co-worker a ditz or my other boss a jerk or my other co-worker is cute and my other boss is cool yadda yadda yadda and then is surprised when someone finds out about it. I don't even engage in the popular activity of lunchtime blogging. Any talk about my personal life is scarce and mostly connects to my writing, which I hope interests someone.
Finally, if this is just a friendly stop-by, at least post a comment somewhere. I'm always curious about who looks me up.
