My turn.
The poet populist is basically Cambridge's equivalent of poet laureate. It's something I have an interest in, given how much work I do in Cambridge. It's tough for me to pick one for the job, given that I know and respect many of the poets on the list. I've even featured some at Stone Soup and bought their books. However, I want to ask all Cambridge poets to come out and show Deb Priestly the love.
Through the Out of The Blue Art Gallery, Deb has been promoting poetry and doing her best to spread it to others on a half-a-shoestring budget. It's safe to say that whether she wins or loses, she will continue to do so through the events she hosts and her various side projects. She'll just be able to do it more easily if she wins.
I've arranged it so I can be there to support her, though I live in Jamaica Plain and can't vote. I hope some of the residents can do the same.
