Notes From A Clean, Well-Lighted Place

I finally got my home into shape last Sunday just in time for a new friend to visit. Today, my apartment isn't as clean as it was a week ago, but it's a far cry better than it's been in months, and I'm thankful for that. I only have to work a little to get it back into shape today, but I may wait on that. My weekend is uneventful and peaceful.

I was going to visit family and friends, but with a good deal of them made plans to attend the Patriots game, including my Mom. Therefore, more time would be spent making sure my public transportation-dependent butt was catered too, and I didn't want that. Therefore, I stayed in JP for the weekend. It was the first time I had no set plans, not even tentative ones, in months, if not a year, and I liked the feeling.

I think My "Diablo II" stint is over, though. Time to slowly crawl back to work. Or, at least, work I enjoy. I have a poem I'll post later today, and Spoonful needs to be put together. Plus, I have to give my poetry chapbook manuscript a once-over before it's sent over to Gloria Mindock. Check out her Cervena Barva Press page here to see what new works are coming from her operation. Most likely, that's also where you'll also get first notice about my release.

Enjoy the rest of your long weekend, people. If I can, you can.
