The medical research paper I was telling you about, "Macular Thickness and Systemic Markers for Diabetes in individuals with No or Mild Diabetic Retinopathy," has been provisionally accepted in the journal Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology. "Provisionally" means that it will be another 3 months minimum (after resolving some editing issues) before an issue is picked out.
A lot of waiting, as you can see.
I think that's why I leaped yesterday when I had the opportunity to help a friend move from one apartment to another yesterday. With all the waiting I endure with my job, Stone Soup, my poetry submissions, and even just helping with my sister's computer, it was nice to just go in, do some work and be done with it in under three hours. Something like that has become a rare treat in my life, even if everything I do is worth the wait (and to be honest, some of it just ain't).
