My grandfather is still being sedated as they still try to clear the fluids outside one of his lungs. The family situation is such that I've been advised not to visit. On the plus side, this is the first snag that's happened since last week.
Hoping for more good news. It's hard waiting around in my parents' house, where the phones all seem like ringing harbingers of bad news.
