After some internal debating, I'm posting this. Maybe only for a day.


Apology

She
told me
to learn spontaneity

and
gave me
a detailed outline

on
how to
go about it

with
a countdown
starting that September,

a
map of
Plath's old hangouts

and
a definite
promise of...maybe.

I
said I'd
think about it.

Months
later it
occurred to me,

I
should have
told her: This

doesn't
mean you'll
hear an answer.
