Dreaming of More Idyllic Days

Sundays are usually the perfect day to kick back with Smokey and the rest of the family, but this weekend, even if I wasn't bogged down with work, I just had to keep away from everyone.

Between Stone Soup, my reading at The Goba Salon (I still feel bad about not blogging about it), the Cantab shows I've been going to, and all the telephone conferences and work meetings, I've been suffering a bit from people overload. And this weeks's going to be lots more of the same.

I'm not a natural people person, and sometimes it takes a lot of effort to interact. Since taking over Stone Soup and helping to hold up teleretinal training program at work, my days of extended seclusion are over, for better or for worse.

Don't get me wrong. It's an improvement to feel like someone people enjoy talking to, even someone people can rely on. It's just that every once in a while, I have to draw back and recharge my human batteries. Hopefully, I'll be back in shape by tomorrow night.
