My name is Chad Parenteau.

And I''ve just joined the 365/365 blog. A blog where you participate in the challenge to write 365 poems or 365 days.

And I'm already way behind.

The second year this has been attempted by a group of Boston-based poets, this is a serious collective effort being organized via a very private blog run by poet Michael Monroe (who, I might add, did a full 365 poems by last year's end even though he was behind almost 30 poems in the final few days of the year). Anyone out there who is interested in joining up with this (there are still spots open, and you will not be ridiculed if you do not write 365 poems), email Michael Monroe at
michaeljmonroe*at*yahoo.com as soon as possible. It's also the only way you'll be able to witness the ongoing work unless you hit The Cantab's poetry night on Wednesdays.

Incidently, The Cantab is announcing a new writing prompt for the 365'er's every week.
