Boston Zine Fair 2010, Call to Tablers

I'm posting this email that was forwarded to me here because I'm thinking of going but don't want to do it alone. I wouldn't mind making it a Stone Soup thing and offer books from several people, but I would like at least least one person to be at the table along with me and at least five other people wiling to drop me off books for the table. Authors, if you don't have at least one offering under 10 bucks, you should think otherwise. There's a lot on display at the fair, and people who go try to stretch their dollars as far as possible. As it is, I will probably be offering my own $7 chap at a reduced price. Also, let me know if you're willing to do trades.

Hey all, here for you is the official announcement that Boston, after a year
hiatus, host a ZINE FAIR, March 20, 2010.

Registration for tablers is open! Bring on the comix, personal rants, hand
bound letterpress masterpieces!

It has been a rough year for the Boston Zine scene: the Papercut Zine
Library got evicted from its swank Harvard Square digs, and much of our
energy has gone into trying to find a new home for the collection.

We had pretty much given up on trying to get the fair together until we found a new space for our collection. But then our friends from the Whithaus
*http://whitehausfamilyrecord. com* extended an invitation for us to set
up a mini zine fair during the day in the space they rent every year for
their nighttime “Blastfest” concert showcase.

It will be at the Cambridge YMCA, 820 Mass Ave., Central Sq.

March 20

Set up starting at 10am, doors at 11am and it will probably run until 7 or
8pm, with some overlap with the music.

We will likely only have space for 10 to 15 tables so act fast! Please
send your registration fee via paypal to papercut@riseup.net. If paypal
does not work for you, please get in touch with us directly as soon as
possible.

Registration fees are:

$5-half table

$10-full table

Registration information

* Your name and contact info (phone number and e-mail address)
* Distro/zine/project/org/etc. name for identifying your table
* Brief description of what merch you are peddling
* Anything else we might need to know

Because of limited space we are going to reserve the right to bump folks
from full to half tables, with refund, if space fills up.

If, despite the compelling urgency of our announcement, you decide not to
“act fast!” you should know the registration deadline is March 1!
