I heard this song back in the 80's pretty heavily for a period of a couple of months before it disappeared into the ether like most 80's songs. Never knew who sang it (the guy from Supertramp? Really?) and never remembered the entire video, though the hanging man image got stuck in my head, as did several of the lyrics, which helped me to finally find the song, the complete version of which is even more self-indulgent than the video (for MTV, two minutes were shaved and having listened to the album version, you don't miss 'em). Still stays in my mind for some reason.
