IT IS FINISHED!

I finished the 30 poems in 30 days challenge for National Poetry Writing Month between 7:00 and 11:45 Friday, finishing 7 poems and posting only five.Yesterday, while I was was still busy, I was blissfully not writing poetry.

In all, getting through he 30/30 and continuing on with the 365/365 challenge (averaging a poem a day for a year), I have mixed feelings about the project. I am trying to offset hints of the subtle "mine is bigger" mentality amongst the minority of 30/30 and 365/365 participants with the fact that as of last week, I had already written more poems in one year than I have any other year of my life. And if I continue with the 365 challenge and succeed (or fall even fall short of a couple of months), I will double my output of the previous decade. The majority of the poems will be far from good, but It can still be a rewarding experience.
