I know last month seemed quiet because I only posted a couple of poems, but I only stopped writing after the second week of May (a well-earned mental and, yes, physical break from the 30/30). I've been working on many revisions, articles for my work newsletter, and two poems that I considered too personal to include either on this blog or even the private 365 blog.
I have also been submitting to journals and hope dearly that I'll have some news for you on newly published work, including never before published work. The "Hurry up and wait" motto at the VA Hospital I work at is ten times more applicable concerning the status of my work at various print and internet journals.
The one exception is Submishmash. It's an online aid for handling writing submissions. It works too well. In the case of one journal, I submitted twice. A single poem the first time, and two poems the next. Both times I was rejected in less than 24 hours. I think it was less than 12 hours the first time.
Makes submitting your work feel more like a contact sport.
I posted more work to the 365 blog. I hope to write 100 poems before the end of June. I'd still be 80 poems behind, but It would be still one more personal record to break.
