Truth be told, I thought I'd be making a lot more announcements about published poetry at online journals these last couple of months. I submitted quite a few of the 365/365 poems, but sadly it just didn't happen. Lots of rejections, and the most recent acceptances came from two print journals, Popt Art and Mad Poets Review. I'll post links to buy them when they come out. The first is debuting, the other has been around for a bit.
Actually, there is one more print project I've been tentatively accepted for, but there isn't even a title for it yet (the book, not my poem).
The project comes from the publishing collaborative Off The Park Press, who recently published their first anthology, New Smoke. I was invited by one of the press' members, Gale Batchelder, for which I thank very much.
From what I remember while talking to fellow contributor Bonni Joi at the Boston Poetry Massacre, the book I contributed to will be the third Off The Park publishes. They haven't even announced the second book, so I'll keep things secret a while longer. I finished the poem last week and haven't even posted it on the private 365/365 blog. I've kept a lot of work from them too for various reasons, so readers of this public blog aren't the only ones getting screwed.
Don't worry, intermanet. I'll come back to you sooner than you think. At the insistence of fellow writers and after being raked through the pile of hot coals that is my fellow editor, I'll have work in Spoonful and another Stone Soup project, which is also print-related. There's a reason for that. More later.
