What you see here is my hand holding a gift from David Fillingham. It was his mother, the late Patricia Fillingham, who drew the art you see on the button for her own Warthog Press, which her son has since taken over.
She did a lot of illustration and interior art for her own books, including one children's story about an elephant.

The cover illustration was of an elephant's butt.
The back cover of the above book had a picture of the elephant's hindside. More than once, Patricia would mention how it was the cutest elephant butt ever drawn. Come think of it, the warthog has a little cuteness to it too. Eat your heart out Pumba.
We've featured David for two Decembers in a row at Stone Soup. Not this time around, since we're waiting for David to complete and publish the long-awaited posthumous collection of poetry by Patricia Fillingham. Hopefully, this will be sooner in 2011 rather than later.

I agree--that warthog is adorable. You know I work for Patricia's son in law, right? He gave me one of Patricia's books last week as a gift, but I haven't gotten to it yet.
