Thanks Chad. Actually, as I mention I've actually been blogging longer than five years-- it was just five years on From The Journals Of Ian Thal. I had had a blog prior to that on a different site!
Authors' Den was an early example of an attempt to monetize the internet by providing a service, but the service provider was neither concerned about remaining competitive with other services nor with reaching beyond a niche audience.
Just look how long it took them to enable comments on blog entries or enable even basic html formating in blog entries.

So noted and corrected. I just black out whenever I see anything that reminds me of my own Author's Den years.
