It's come to my attention that aside from weekly features, I haven't been talking much about Stone Soup on this page. I'll rectify that with a post on the biggest news this year.
Stone Soup Presents: Fresh Broth is a small collection of voices drawn from the forty-plus year old poetry series. It will feature newer members of Boston's the poetry scene as well as older voices who either still attend the readings or dropped out but still keep the venue in their hearts. The collection totals nearly 60 pages and will feature an amazing front cover illustration of Jack Powers (seen above) by the Out of The Blue artist known as Marshall.
Yesterday, the final manuscript was sent off to our secret benefactors,who we have dubbed Guerrilla Guillotine Press. I was supposed to have sent the proofs to them over a week ago with the hopes of getting the collection printed by the end of August. Hopefully, we can still have a release in September. I will keep people posted on the progress.
