THE FIRST AND LAST WORD POETRY SERIES
Dennis Daly lives in Salem,
Massachusetts. Ibbetson Street Press published The Custom House,
his first full length book of poetry in June, 2012. His second book, a
verse translation of Sophocles' Ajax, was recently published by
Wilderness House Press. Daly's third book is set in Salem and will shortly
be seeking a publisher.
Jean Monahan is the author of three
books of poetry. Hands was chosen by Donald Hall for the Anhinga
Prize; Believe It or Not and Mauled Illusionist were
published by Orchises Press. She has received several awards and her poems
have appeared in Poetry, The New Republic and The Atlantic
Monthly, as well as other journals, magazines and anthologies. She
lives in Salem, MA.
Molly Lynn Watt wrote Strains of 1963, Consider This -commissioned for Across the Ages Dance, Civil Rights Update-paired with Dr. King's I Have a Dream in Dallas Schools, George & Ruth: Songs & Letters of the Spanish Civil War, Shadow People; she curated Fireside Readings, was poetry editor at HILR Review and Bagelbard Anthology 1-4.
The Center for the Arts is located between Davis Square and Union
Square. Parking is located behind the armory at the rear of the building.
Arts at the Armory is approximately a 15 minute walk from Davis Square
which is on the MTBA Red Line. You can also find us by using either the
MBTA RT 88 and RT 90 bus that can be caught either at Lechmere (Green
Line) or Davis Square (Red Line). Get off at the Highland Avenue and
Lowell Street stop. You can also get to us from Sullivan Square (Orange
Line) by using the MBTA RT 90 bus. Get off at the Highland Avenue and
Benton Road stop.
