30 Questions/30 Days, Day 1

I've gotten some interesting questions as part of my new pet project for National Poetry Writing Month.  The first one of the month comes from Donna Woods:

"What is my dog dreaming about when her paws start to contract and a faint cry is extracted from her lips as she convulses?"

To me, having spent lots of time with my sister's dog, the answer is so simple...

Hands.  She's dreaming of  having hands.  Human hands with thumbs.  So she can grab human food more easily.  Those faint cries are cries of victory as she envisions herself putting a fork loaded with beef to her mouth.  The convulsing represents her victory dance.

This is especially true if it's a small dog.No human can watch the video below and NOT think that the little pug longs to snatch the man's hand and pull both it and the treats down to the kitchen floor so all that tedious begging can be eliminated.

Oops, I think you might need to google Goodreads, blazevox, limerick to find out what the lines are or if I have time, I'll look for them tonight. Cheers.
