With August's first Stone Soup feature being returning friends from out of state and last weekend's poetry marathon
bringing poets from New York, New Jersey and elsewhere, it seems that
Boston and its surrounding era has become an ideal vacation spot for
poets. Two who have visited Stone Soup time and time again, Martin
Willitts Jr and Linda Grigs, will be featuring once again this Monday. I've been told that this may be their last year visiting Boston. Whether or not this is true, it will be their last time featuring at the Out of The Blue at its current location.
The gallery's closing (with hopes to relocate elsewhere) is finally
sinking in amongst members of the poetry community. People are starting
to come in just to be in the gallery one last time before the
inevitable move. It's changed the energy of the room and the open mic,
and not in a negative way. You'll just have to come by and experience this for yourself while you still can.
