I remember the Beverly Depot. If I remember correctly, this was right outside the MBTA stop where I would meet an ex coming from Boston. If that's true, this is an insanely easy place to get to even without a car.
This is good, because it's the source of an open mic poetry series called The Cellar, which seems to be organized by poets who come from the north shore to read at Stone Soup (I've dubbed them the North Shore Invaders). The information on their Facebook page reads:
"Welcome to our NEW OPEN MIC. Starting in October, we'll be meeting every second Thursday of the month @ 7:30p (sign up at 7p) to share spoken word art. Bring your poetry, stories, rants and viscera spilled onto the page! Like the page for updates on coming features and other writing-related stuff!"
I can't wait to hear more about this.
