Ellen Jane Powers has poems in Inspirit, The Deronda Review, Kerem, Sufi, and in the anthology Do Not Give Me Things Unbroken. She is on the Editorial Review Board of the Maine journal Off the Coast, where her book reviews regularly appear. Her first poetry collection, Celestial Navigation (Cherry Grove) and chapbook, Toward the Beloved (Finishing Line Press), came out in 2013. She lives in the North Shore/Cape Ann area.
Tomas O'Leary -- poet, translator, music-maker, singer, artist and expressive therapist -- has a book just out from Lynx House Press: In the Wellspring of the Ear. His previous volumes of poetry are Fool at the Funeral, The Devil Take a Crooked House, and A Prayer for Everyone. He has taught at various levels: college, high school, elementary, adult ed, etc. For years he's led regular group meetings with folks who have Alzheimer's, most of whom get pretty lively with his squeezebox and the old songs.
MUSIC FEATURE Born in Somerset, MA currently living in Plymouth, singer/ songwriter Nanci Hobson.
Doors open 11:30AM, Music Feature 12:00 noon, Poetry Features 12:45pm open-mic 1:15pm. Free admission and refreshments.
