South of Boston Poetry Trail January 2017

Words from the good heart of Jack Scully follow...with too many things to tag...

May 2017 bring you all good fortune and health and may your writing be full of publications and successes.

Busy January coming up next Sunday will be the regular monthly reading at PTAOW, the feature poets will be Alice Kociemba of Falmouth and from Lowell, Leo Racicot. The following Sunday January 15 we will have the 6th Visual Inverse reception for poets and artist will begin at 12:15PM and the public reading and slide show will start at 1PM, all are welcomed and Admission is free.

Mass Poetry would like to let you know that they have added a submission option for Poem of the Moment. Poems of the Moment appear on their homepage for one week, are featured in their newsletter to 5,000+ subscribers, and live permanently in the Poem of the Moment archives. They are looking for a wide range of poets, as long as they have a tie to Massachusetts and have published a chapbook or full-length manuscript. Please spread the word to your community and encourage individual poets to submit.

Calliope Poetry Series Our poetry discussion group is reading the work of Gwendolyn Brooks. Our next meeting is Friday, January 6, 1:00 - 2:30 at the Falmouth Public Library. The group is open and welcomes new members. Bring 10 copies of 2 of her poems to share. Alice Kociemba, founding director.

Congratulations to Dolores Stewart Riccio on the publishing of a new poetry book, “Driving with the Right Side of the Brain” published by Riverhaven Brook and publisher Stephanie Blackm
