A word on the workshops from Tom Daley...
Dear friends:
I have openings in two workshops that begin the week of January 9, 2016.
The
first is a poetry writing workshop that meets from 12:30-2:30 pm on
seven Wednesdays at the Porter Exchange building in Porter Square,
Cambridge (the old Sears building). The dates are January 11, 18, 25;
February 1, 8, 15, 22. Cost is $175.
The second is a workshop for poets and writers working in creative prose that meets at my house in Cambridge on Monday nights. People are bringing memoir, memoir-based fiction, and poetry to this workshop.
The
dates of the January-February session are (eight Mondays): January 9,
16, 23, 30; February 6, 13, 20, 27, 2017. The cost is $200.
The workshop meets on Monday nights at my house in West Cambridge (Huron Village) from 5:30-7:30 pm. There is free parking on my street and adjacent streets, and I am very near bus stops on three lines that come from Harvard station on the Red Line.
The optional poetry exercises in both workshops will focus on the poetry of the Spanish poet Federico García Lorca in English translation. The optional prose exercises will focus on personal essay and memoir pieces in contemporary journals.
