NaPoWriMo, Day Ten, Poem Nine

John Kerry Recants

When I tossed my medals
on the capitol lawn,
I crept over the fence
at night to find them.

With my plowshare,
I can take out a pacifist
with one swing.

Go to John
to find what the body count
would be had I steered
this boat from the beginning.
