NaPoWriMo, Day Nine, Poem Seven

I Left My Exercise Watch at Home.

Now they will accuse me
of staying home all day.

My mother will never believe
I was too busy to come home.

The calories I burned by running
stayed in my stomach.

At midnight my Mickey clock face
will hide himself in shame.

Before technology I never lived.
Now it tells me I've forgotten how to walk.

Big Brother normally knows where I am
but is too slow to catch me.

I need to let the world know I died standing
if only to finish the final circle.
