I don't know how it is for most of Massachusetts, but for Boston (and for particularly my GF and her daughter) school is essentially done, though it doesn't officially finish until Wednesday.
I have always taken note of the school year. Partly because you can always tell when the students leave and return, but also partly because I followed that schedule for longer than most. as a student.
These past few years, because of the academic lifestyles of said GF and her daughter) I've followed it on a far more literal level.
I don't know how I feel about it most days, but today I'm glad I won't have to think about it for a while after Wednesday.
