BITS AND PIECES

We laugh,
We cry,
We write poetry,
The world smiles…

Hope you all had a great summer, full of fun and relaxation. Poetry will begin in Plymouth on September 10, with a session of PTAOW. Poetry Showcase which normally is held in September will be held on October 15 this year. PTAOW will be featuring Carolyn Gregory and Doug Holder as feature poets and Carolyn Gregory, Tali Freed & Lars Wicklund will be the music features. The poets reading at our 12th Poetry Showcase will be Michael Daley, Kevin Gallagher, Gloria Mindock, Tim Suermondt, Susan Cook Thanas and Pui Ying Wong.{ reminder there is no music feature or Open-mic at this event}

Bob Knox reports that he has released a book of poetry, the book was published in May this year by Finishing Line Press, an active, independent publisher of poetry based in Kentucky.  is available from the publisher’s website at http://finishinglinepress.com for $14.99.

I am happy to report that a poetry program is returning to the Brockton Library again. “Everyone Has a Voice” will be held on the third Saturday of each month, featuring a veteran poet and a student poet followed by the open mic. Sign up for the open mic begins one half hour before the start time. We are excited to bring you these readings in the Driscoll Gallery from 2:00 – 5:00 during the months of September, October, March, May, and June, and from 1:00 – 4:00 during the months of November – February. There will be no reading in April, as it is reserved for the Soaring Without Limits: Healing Through the Arts exhibit and reception. We will have a tentative hiatus (subject to change) during July and August. We look forward to seeing all who can attend. Unity is only achieved through embracing diversity, all else is fruitless adversity. Everyone Has a Voice, please join us, and share yours. Your poetry hosting team, Philip Hasouris, Rich Berg, Joseph Policape, and Tim Reed.
