We write poetry,
The world smiles…
It is official, thanks to the hard work of Miriam O’Neal, our new temporary home, for the months of January, February and March 2018, will be the Plymouth Town Library. The change in venue is because of construction being done on the Plymouth Center for the Arts. The library is located at 132 South St in Plymouth, please note that the will begin at 1PM at the Library with no Music Feature. The program will be two Poetry Features, refreshment break and Open-mic and should concluded at 3PM.

Our program at the library will be as follows; January 21-Poetry Features- Zvi A Sesling & Joyce Wilson; February 4-Poetry Features-Kit Dunlap & Philip Hasouris; and March 4-Alice Kociemba & Fred Marchant.

The December poetry program will be held this Sunday December 3, it has been changed because of scheduling conflicts at the PCA.

On Thursday December 7 at 2PM at John Curtis Free Library in Hanover, Bill Alberti will be presenting a poetry workshop. It is titled “Mixing the Mediums: Art and Literature A Fun and Educational Workshop”, the event is sponsored by the Hanover Cultural Council and is free and open to the public.

I've always been enamored with Rumi, and love his poem This Being Human. I know that I am not alone in loving that poem and that many people have been helped by reading it. Yet when I hear it I often find myself inspired by just the title, and my monkey mind goes swinging off in another direction. This morning I succumbed to that inspiration and wrote the poem that actually came to me on my yoga mat yesterday. It later occurred to me that I would love to read more of these, poems written from the prompt of those three words, This Being Human So let's do it! I will organize, edit, and seek a publisher if we compile enough poems for a volume. Your submission can be emailed to me atT4tu@comcast.net.

The Submission period for MAINTENANT 12 ends December 31 so please SUBMIT YOUR DADA-INSPIRED WRITING AND ART to:http://threeroomspress.com/…/maintenant-12-we-are-all-a-li…/And since one is either PRO-ANTI or FOR any subject the theme for MAINTENANT 12 is: WE ARE ALL A "LIKE"

Time is running out to submit to Academy of the Heart and Mind's holiday contest. You can submit poetry, fiction, and art. There is no limit to how many pieces you send. Send all submissions by December 20 toacademyoftheheartandmind@gmail.com

Gone Lawn is reading submissions for its hibernal issue, #27. We look for fiction, prose and poetry with imagination and sincerity: from the surreal to the slightly peculiar to more uncertain and digressive works. We love the odd notion.http://journal.gonelawn.net/issue26
