Edward Oluokun is a drummer, painter, and author of the Ancient Echoes. He has performed with musical groups, as well as mounting solo art exhibition here in the states. Edward has been an educator here in New England since 2011. He teaches English at Massasoit Community and Roxbury Community colleges. He obtained a Master’s degree in English from the University of Memphis and a Master of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. Edward is an advocate for the Relevance of Mother Tongue in a Diverse Culture.

Carli Pires is a 15 year-old high school student from Brockton High. She is new to the poetry scene and writes sentimental and powerful poems with a dash of the student life she lives. Her journey in life has been the roughest of roads in life with the torment of mental issues, so she puts her stresses into her poems to calm the scenery.
