NaPoWriMo, Day Fourteen, Poem Thirteen

Laundry Day

What do lovers
do on Sunday?

Same as every
sad sack single.

Pride drawn and
quartered for change.

Little girl lost
saves water, money.

Sick days? Stay
in bed, work clothes.

Neighbors weave
new baskets

just to make you
think they're normal.

Serenity comes
without smiles.

Your lifeline
needs a landline.

You're the reason
for the traffic

laughing as they
pass you by.
