We Did It For You! The Musical and a Special Exhibit - This Evening

The story of how women got their rights. Told by the women who were there.


Before the show, come see the lobby exhibit about Frances Perkins, the first woman appointed to the U.S. Cabinet and longest serving Secretary of Labor (12 years). The League of Women Voters of Needham are bringing these panels to Foxboro, on loan from the Frances Perkins Center.

Frances Perkins was the driving force behind many of the groundbreaking New Deal programs that are still the foundation of the American social safety net — Social Security, unemployment insurance, the 40-hour work week, and the minimum wage. Liz Thomson has not performed since elementary school but when she discovered this production she just had to audition. She enjoys singing and has found the challenge of a live show thrilling.
