Moment of the Week

A couple of days ago, a person I used to work with spotted me crossing a street in Brookline. We talked for a few seconds before her light changed.

Two things occurred to me after the encounter.

First, we haven't seen or spoken with each other in over a decade. I like to think I've changed a lot since then.

Second, I was wearing a hat and face mask.

Somehow, she still knew it was me.

It's a little terrifying knowing I'm that recognizable in a crowd even during a pandemic.
