The best part of editing a literary journal is when you send out submissions calls for a very specific type of work. It makes your job easier in many ways.
Today, I get to reject a heap of work because people just. Didn't. Read.
I asked for poems tackling a specific type of modern horror. And two-thirds of the submissions were from people who didn't read anything other than "Halloween."
I appreciate the few who read and got creative. I hope you enjoy today's posts as much as I do.
