With all the city supermarkets no longer taking recyclables, our only sane option is a cannery in Mattapan. Last week, I brought a month's worth (maybe more) of cans and bottles. The internet said they closed at 4:30. I got there by 4:20. They were closed.
I went through too much to get there.
I was sick of businesses closing whenever they wanted to during the pandemic.
I refused to bring anything home with me.
All I thought wasm You WILL take these cans.
There was a shopping cart was behind their chained shut fence. I lifted the bag over my head and dumped them over. Most of them got in the carriage.
That moment cost us a few bucks, but it was worth it.
