But what's really hard is writing haiku with those white refridgerator magnets.

In the Zen Buddhist tradition, the student writes a haiku to display his (or her) understanding of the Zen teaching, usually a koan.
The teacher then completes it by adding two more lines of seven syllables each, often called a pointer, reflecting on the students understanding of the koan. ie, in response to your haiku:

Blockey white letters no make a haiku
