Jack Powers as a Meanie Poet

Without getting into too much detail, I came into some artifacts of Stone Soup Poetry founder Jack Powers, which include publications his work appeared in. I remember this issue of Meanie from the spring of 1998. Sadly, I probably had to lose this during one of my many moves. 

 

Meanie was a poetry zine that came out courtesy of the legendary Jim Behrle and featured poets of all kind. This issue includes many Boston area poets, including Doug Holder, Robert K. Johnson and, of course, Jack Powers. 

 

The other gem is the interview Jim did with Jack. It's a rare look at his sense of humor, which I did not get to see very much of in our short time interacting together.
