Your Wednesday Morning Poetry

Today, let's salute the work of Maureen Thorson, poet, author and founder of National Poetry Writing Month (now also known as Global Poetry Writing Month). Let's read three of her nature poems in Little Dog Poetry. You can visit her website for more samples of her work. Thank you one again, Maureen, for helping poets like me stay productive every April.

NaPoWriMo 2019 Here I Come!

Above image above courtesy of Maureen Thorson,

It starts April 1st. NaPoWriMo, or National Poetry Writing Month, is a thirty-challenge to write thirty poems by the end of April. I can't wait to take on the challenge this year. If you want to follow my progress, then click this link to my blog, which will feature every one of my poems as they go up. Hopefully, I'll have more surprises in store for National Poetry Month.

NaPoWriMo 2018 is Coming, And I'll Be Part of It

National Poetry Month is coming, which National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo) is coming up again. I plan to do another thirty poems in thirty days starting Sunday April first. I've been doing this on and off (mostly on) since 2005, and I'm excited about the event this year.

You can follow the NaPoWriMo site to keep up with a plethora of participants. As for me, you can follow this link to my blog, which will feature every one of my poems as they go up. I'll try not to fall behind this year.

NaPoWriMo 2017 is Upon Us

Thanks to the efforts of Maureen Thorson, National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo) is still alive and well over a decade later. I have been an on and off participant (mostly on) since 2005. Starting April first, I will begin another month of writing--or at least averaging--a poem a day for thirty days.

Follow this link to keep track of my poems for the event beginning two Saturdays from now. I'm gearing up and looking to have a lot of fun with this.

NaPoWriMo 2013 Is On!

Happy National Poetry Writing Month.  As I have the past few years, I am hoping to write (or at least average) thirty poems and thirty days on my blog.  I also have a side project of answering thirty random questions, one per day (just had the urge to add something on).  For more information, visit  NaPoWriMo mastermind Maureen Thorson and her NaPoWriMo website, which includes prompts and links to the many people participating in this event.
