NaPoWriMo 2023 Afterthoughts

I'm ending the National Poetry Poetry Writing Month the same way I started, by staring at a blank page and wondering what I'm going to write next.

That's not entirely true. I started writing my final poem last night and finished after midnight. As I was about to start poem thirty, I had an idea for another poem I wanted to write.

NaPoWriMo Home Stretch

It's the home stretch for National Poetry Writing Month, but that doesn't mean it's been easy.

This past week has been the raw period, where there's nothing clever to write about in the tank, and all I have are the raw emotions of whatever I'm feeling at the time.

I've had to write a couple of poems and abandon them because it would be too much to post them.

If any of  you are feeling like that, I hope you do that too. Especially if you are sharing on a blog. Stop before you post! Take a second.

If you have to write a second, more boring poem, you should do that.

Good luck.

Annoying NaPoWriMo Update

Fell asleep early last night.

Now I'm a day behind.

I already figured the poem I wanted to write yesterday.

This happens at least once a year.

I will catch up.
