Happy Saint Patrick's Day

Here's a bonus video of the unofficial Southie Saint Patrick's Day parade {"It was a motorcade!" one person online keeps telling me) from Sunday driving down a side street.

And then all of Southie got COVID-19. The End.

Surprise!

While my Girlfriend was driving me around Southie's mostly dead Broadway, we came across a flash mob Saint Patrick's parade of sorts. People driving around decorated vehicles and screaming from their windows (and even the open back of a van).

The Ghost of Saint Patrick in the Streets

My girlfriend and I did a tour of Broadway, because she cares about me and knows I'm a fan of strange photo ops like this. A lot of dead streets with decorated store fronts. A lot of barely attended (and even seemingly abandoned) stands with St. Patrick's merchandise.

Depressing

No Saint Patrick's Day parade tomorrow. I don't feel bad for the dive bars on Broadway that usually overcharge sitting fees to tourists. I do feel bad for the stores that were hoping to sell this cheap stuff so they could make some profit during the usual festivities. I guess there's always next year.
