Summertime is when I think of Andrew Hudgins, a poet I was introduced to by Bill Knott during my final year at Emerson College. I first read "Dog Pile" from his fourth collection, The Glass Hammer. Thanks to The New Criterion (who published it first) for having it up in their archives.
