Rejected Fluff Haiku

Fluff used in porno.
Less time and effort needed
for the money shot.

My first and only attempt for this in this Pharaoh of Fluff competition in Sommerville. I just can't be bothered to try for something in which the guy who cheated last year is now the judge this year.

What The Fluff? 2010 Today--But First, A Correction from 2009

In a post from last year, I put up this graphic of the person who won the What The Fluff? festival last year.

In light of it being both a year later and the day of this year's What The Fluff? festival, I wanted to have the graphic corrected, to better reflect my current, more experienced opinion.

I feel much better now.

Despite My Misgivings

I might actually attend the What The Fluff? festival this weekend.

I might even enter the Pharaoh of Fluff competitions this year. The judge is the person who won due to altered rules in the writing contest. They've changed the rules, which probably means poetry won't stand a chance. But hey, y'never know...

The What The Fluff? Festival Is Over, And We Have A Winner (s'not me)

Thanks to everyone who wished me luck at the Fluff festival in Somerville this past weekend. Neither Lynne (who let me know about the writing competition for Pharaoh of Fluff) nor I won. I have some thoughts and observations and, of course photos. They're on my Facebook site now. I will try to move some over to my blog. You can click this site for all the best links about the event. You can click here for the poems that were being voted on that day, including the "winning poem" for that day (author to the left).

A winning poem that wasn't a haiku or limerick, like the rules said? Come on.

Me and My Fellow Finalists for The Pharaoh of Fluff

You can find my poem, and the poems of the other finalists for Somerville's What The Fluff? writing contest (including Lynne Sticklor The Prize Lady) on this page here.

This is either the one thing I will never put on my writing resume, or the only thing I'll ever need to put down on it.

Fluff Contest Finalist

I just got word that I am a finalist in the What The Fluff? 2009 Poetry contest. According to the email, I will be expected to perform my haiku at the Fluff Festival and compete to be the Pharaoh of Fluff this Saturday, September 26, at 4:45 PM or so. Click here for information on the festival, now in its fourth year, and wish me luck.
