One Last Time! Stone Soup Croutons, 5-15-24: Keep Walking, or They'll Take You Away

This past Wednesday C.C. Arsharga gave us the feature everyone hoped it would be. Full of poetry, music and history. Perfect for the anniversary month. Catch the performance and the open mic now if you haven't. 

Tried to stay on C.C.'s messages and themes for today's poem. Still, I guess I gotta be me.

Title based on Boston's rule for protesting on sidewalks.

Final Note: This is the second and final repost I'll be doing After Facebook kept locking me for spamming, I (think I) finally figured out a way to share on all the group pages. I was so scared that Facebook was changing in a way that was going to hurt what I do (mostly because most change does). See Me Emcee at the First Ever Oddball Festival on August 13

Thanks to Jason Wright and The Oddball Foundation for asking me to emcee this event on Sunday August 13 from 12-4 PM at the Mansfield Arts Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts.

​Organized by Jason Wright, this event boasts over 70 artists, poets, bands, artisans, food trucks, and games.

Guest poets include C.C. Arshagra, Timothy Gager.
​
Guest musicians include Eric Salt and Erica Mantone of Shifting Gearz Sound Healers and Sir Ian.

All that's asked is a $10 minimum donation.

This past Wednesday was a little different, as C.C. Arshagra guest hosted a night with special feature Paul Skiff. I was mostly absent and handling family affairs. 

Thanks to an imperfect recording I made, I got to hear the whole feature, wich on top of Skiff's impressive performance (including a magnum opus dedicated to his home in New York's Lower East Side), it was a great showing of new poets and regulars. I'm glad everyone came out in force. I hope you can do so next week when Len Germinara and Sarah Oktay feature next week.

I also hope to supply you with C.C.'s recording along with a list of the participants if C.C. kept a paper list. For now, here's the poem. 

Hoping to write a poem with stanza breaks and zero word repetition soon. Thanks for reading.

Every lost soul wants their face

put on a soup can label while 

they reside in Paris, privileges

carried over from stateside,
