Your Wednesday Morning Poetry

Lucci didn't have many print publication credits to his name outside of Oddball Magazine. Hopefully, his work can be collected and shared. For now, we have what he shared on Facebook. Read "My Name is L.U.C.C.I.: Part Two."

Glenn "Lucci" Furman, 1985-2024

The above picture above from one of Lucci's earliest interactions with me on September 28, 2013. It was my second time hosting a 100 Thouusand Poets for Change tie-in since Michael Rothenberg and Terri Carrion founded the event in 2011. The first time wasn't as well attended as I hoped, but Lucci and other friends helped me host a successful and fun event two years later.

Lucci

The news was made official some time ago. LUCCI, aka Loo Chee aka Glenn Lucci Furman, is no longer with us. I was away the last forty eight hours feeling helpless. I don't know how else to feel other than how unacceptable it is this friend of poetry, music, the arts, and those that created it all is never going to speak with us again, never going to feature again, never going to ask anyone another question again.

I will write more. I will do more and plan more. But for now, I can only encourage you to donate to the GoFundMe for the memorial Lucci deserves so much.
